She is broadcasting the composition and recording of Exposure on Facebook Live for the next 3 days
Today, Esperanza Spalding begins the making of her new album Exposure, a process she is live streaming over Facebook for a period of 77 hours. “I foresee that creating before a live audience will add excitement and extra inspiration energy,” Spalding previously said. “Knowing someone is watching and listening to what you’re making seems to conjure up a sort of ‘can’t fail’ energy.” Over the next three days, Spalding will be joined by guests including Andrew Bird, Robert Glasper, and Lalah Hathaway. Watch it go down below.
Exposure is the follow-up to last year’s Emily’s D+Evolution. It will be released in limited edition physical formats that include pieces of notebook paper from the sessions. Read more about it here.
