It all started when Grammy-nominated musician Leighton James met the MusiArt Choir, a group composed of psychiatry patients of the Montreal General Hospital who get together every week to compose music and sing.

Deeply touched by their profound joy and with the desire to increase access to these services to more people, Leighton committed to donating the proceeds from his upcoming performance at IleSoniq Festival to support mental health and music therapy. Together with the Montreal General Hospital Foundation, we are starting a conversation about the importance of music in mental health and raising money to support music therapy and mental health initiatives.
