Lara Kramer’s artistic approach explores the strength and resilience of the human spirit. Kramer gives free rein to silent, unspoken emotions in her creative process. In of good moral character the choreographer explores the private places of the home, examining the intimacy of the domestic relationships with themes such as obsession, instability and violence. Whether dancing in solo or in duet with the ever astonishing Lael Stellick, this work is an articulation of sensuality, vulnerability and explosive rage. The two dancers explore tensions that arise between the constraints of a conventional home and the need for self-expression. Together they reveal the intensity of their relationship, and the accompanying isolation that is so often a part of the equation.
